Bethel
Bethel is a scattered community of rural residences on an unimproved road five miles south of Henderson in Rusk County. In 1903–04 a school there had one teacher and twenty-seven students and in 1907–08 fifty-six students and one teacher. Bethel is shown on 1936 maps as Bethel School. At that time a cemetery and a church were also located there. On 1965 maps only the church and cemetery are shown. Bethel is a farming and stock-raising community now in the Henderson Independent School District.
