Broom City

Broom City is a small rural community located off State Highway 294 and Farm Road 2419 about eleven miles southeast of Palestine in southern Anderson County. Highway maps in 1936 showed farms and one business in that area, and the settlement existed by name probably by the 1940s. Broom City had a few country residences and a population of twenty in 2000.
