Cedar Creek Park
Cedar Creek rises seven miles northeast of Steiner Valley Park on Lake Whitney in northwestern Hill County (at 32°05' N, 97°23' W) and runs south for 6½ miles to its mouth on Lake Whitney, at Cedar Creek Park just west of Live Oak Resorts (at 31°59' N, 97°23' W). It crosses variable terrain surfaced by shallow, stony clays that support juniper, oak, and grasses. For most of the county's history, the Cedar Creek area has been used as range and crop land.
