Chalk Hill
Chalk Hill is on a mail route from Longview in northeastern Rusk County. It was settled about 1875. During the 1940s it reported a population of twenty-five and one store. In 1978 the National Weather Service established a radar site at Chalk Hill that forecasts for the East Texas area. In 2000 the population was 200.
