Creechville
Creechville is four miles east of Ennis in east central Ellis County. It was established in the late 1890s and served as a community center for the cotton farmers in the area, who built a cooperative gin. A post office operated in Creechville from 1899 until 1903. The community had a school, known as Village Creek. By the 1930s this school had been consolidated with the Ennis public schools. Creechville had an estimated population of twenty from the early 1930s, when population statistics were first reported, through the mid-1960s. In the 1980s the site was surrounded by cattle ranches and wheat farms. The population was fifteen in 2000.
