Del Mar Heights
Del Mar Heights is a colonia off State Highway 100 three miles east of Los Fresnos in east central Cameron County. It developed during the 1960s, and by 1976 it had forty-one dwellings and an estimated population of 186. At that time it did not have public water service, but by 1986 the area's forty-seven housing units were served by the Military Highway Water Supply Corporation, which provided water for an estimated population of 212. The population was 259 in 2000.
