Dixon-Hopewell
Dixon-Hopewell is a small rural community located about two miles north of State Highway 7 and fifteen miles west of Crockett in western Houston County. The village probably existed by the early 1900s, and by 1936 it consisted of scattered dwellings, a church, and a cemetery. In the 1980s county maps still showed a church there. No population estimates were available until 2000 when the community reported forty-nine residents.
