Esseville
Esseville was five miles northeast of Pleasanton in northeastern Atascosa County. There is mention of an Esse family in the area in the 1960s. In the 1940s Esseville had one business and a reported population of twenty-five, which remained at that level until the mid-1970s. However, the community was not shown on county highway maps, and by the 1980s no trace of it remained.
