Fairview
Fairview is a tiny rural community located within a mile of U. S. Highway 59, about four miles southwest of Linden in southern Cass County. The settlement probably existed by the early 1900s, and 1933 soil survey maps showed the village as a stop on the United States and Northwestern Railroad. During the 1930s the area consisted of two schools (including one for African Americans), dispersed farms, and a mine. By the end of the twentieth century Fairview remained a small rural hamlet and consisted of twenty residents in 2000.
