Goshen
Goshen, near Walnut Creek in northeastern Parker County, was one of the first church communities established in the county. In the mid-1850s a Methodist community developed there, and in 1854 a Methodist meetinghouse was built and given the biblical name Goshen by Rev. James Pleasant Tackitt. The community did not survive into the twentieth century.
