Houmont Park
Houmont Park, a residential subdivision two miles southwest of Sheldon Reservoir on the Southern Pacific Railroad and U.S. Highway 90 in east central Harris County, developed as Houston expanded in the 1950s and 1960s. By the 1980s state highway maps showed an elementary school, a junior high school, a high school, and Crenshaw Memorial Stadium within a mile of the townsite.
