Lake Dunlap
Lake Dunlap is a lakeside community located about eight miles northwest of Seguin in northwestern Guadalupe County near the Guadalupe-Comal border. This residential community had begun by the 1970s along Lake Dunlap, a small reservoir impounded in 1928 on the Guadalupe River. In 1980 the population was 200. During the next two decades the population continued to increase, from 500 in 1990 to 1,000 in 2000. Boating and fishing are popular activities in the lakeshore community. A water treatment plant and surface water pump station operate in the area.
