Mount Pleasant

Mount Pleasant is on Farm Road 1235 a mile northeast of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe line and fourteen miles southwest of Abilene in western Taylor County. In 1909 a school with two teachers opened there. In 1940 Mount Pleasant had a church, a school, and a number of scattered dwellings. By the 1980s the community consisted of only a few scattered dwellings.
