Palm Valley
Palm Valley is on Farm roads 2994 and 3195, on the western end of the Harlingen city limits in northwestern Cameron County. The community developed around the Harlingen Country Club in the late 1960s. It was officially recognized as a town in 1969. Palm Valley incorporated in September 1980, when it consisted largely of private homes. Its estimated 1984 population of 935 rose to 1,198 by 1990. Palm Valley had one convenience store in 1992, when its estimated population had decreased to 866. By 2000 the population had grown to 1,298.
