Pleasant Grove
Pleasant Grove is near Farm Road 147 nine miles southwest of Groesbeck in southwestern Limestone County. In the mid-1890s the Pleasant Grove district school had one teacher and eighty-seven students. The population was estimated at twenty in the early 1930s. A school, a business, and several scattered houses marked the community on county highway maps in the late 1940s. The Pleasant Grove school was consolidated with the Thornton Independent School District in 1949. Only the place name appeared on maps of the area in the 1980s. In 2000 the population was twenty.
