Pleasant Ridge
Pleasant Ridge was an unincorporated farming community fourteen miles southeast of Canton in southeast Van Zandt County. It had a school in 1890, which had an enrollment of sixty-six in 1904. The school was consolidated with the Brownsboro Independent School District by the 1950s. State highway maps in 1936 noted only a church and scattered dwellings at the townsite; population estimates were unavailable. By 1987 the community had disappeared.
