Round Point is in Anahuac three miles south of Highway 61 in central Chambers County (at 29°44' N, 94°42' W). Anson Taylor owned the site in the 1830s. Gen. Thomas Jefferson Chambers allegedly shot and killed John O'Brian in a dispute in 1843 over possession of the land. An historical marker was placed at the site in 1984.
