Santa Anna

Santa Anna, off Farm Road 755, is about twenty-six miles northeast of Rio Grande City in east central Starr County. The town was founded in the 1950s, and by 1968 it reported a population of thirty. In 1972 it consisted of about twenty dwellings and a cemetery. The community's population continued to be reported as thirty through the early 1990s. The population dropped to twenty in 2000.
