Sauney Stand

Sauney Stand is between Browning Branch and Gibbs Creek near Farm Road 1371, eight miles southeast of Brenham in extreme southeastern Washington County. The young black community had developed by 1962. In 1988 Sauney Stand had a church and cemetery, and its youth attended school in Brenham. It was listed as a community in 1990.
