Seth
Seth is on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway fifteen miles north of Beaumont in southeastern Hardin County. The railroad siding was established on what was then the Gulf, Beaumont and Kansas City Railway in the late 1920s. Named for logging contractor Seth Carter, the site was acquired by the Kirby Lumber Company in 1928. In 1943 Barry and Barry of Beaumont established sand cleaning and loading machinery at Seth. Scattered buildings and a short rail siding marked the location in 1984.
