Sherwood Shores

Sherwood Shores is a lakeside community located east of U.S. Highway 377 about twenty miles northwest of Sherman in northwestern Grayson County. The development began sometime after Lake Texoma was completed in the 1940s. Sherwood Shores appeared on county maps by 1970. No population estimates were available until 2000, when the community reported 1,590 residents. Sherwood Shores also operated a popular campground on the lake.
