South Groveton
South Groveton, a community on the southern outskirts of Groveton in central Trinity County, developed after 1900. By the mid-1930s the area had a population of just over 1,000 and twenty-five rated businesses. By the time of World War II the population began to decline, dropping to 619 by the mid-1940s. By the early 1990s the estimated population was only 175. Many South Groveton residents work in Groveton.
