Souz Creek
Souz Creek was a small settlement twelve miles northeast of Encinal in south central La Salle County. It was probably established sometime after the Civil War. An 1882 map identifies it as one of only eight communities in La Salle County at the time. It probably included a store owned by J. K. Beretta, who later became a successful San Antonio businessman and banker. No population estimates were available for Souz Creek.
