Steele Hill

Wilson Draw (Wilson Branch, Wilson Draw Creek) begins three miles east of Soldier Mound in south central Dickens County (at 33°32' N, 100°47' W) and runs south before merging with Duck Creek in southern Dickens County a mile north of the Dickens-Kent county line (at 33°25' N, 100°46' W). Wilson Draw passes through flat to gently sloping terrain with silt loams that support grasses and mesquite. The ten-mile branch passes just east of the Steele Hill community. The draw was named for W. T. Wilson, an early settler in the area.
