Summerfield
Summerfield, a farming community just west of Airline Road in an area that is now part of Judson in northeastern Gregg County, was established sometime before the Civil War. It developed around a church and school called Summerfield. The school closed after 1900. After the 1930s Summerfield gradually became a part of Judson, but the Summerfield Methodist Church still existed in the early 1990s.
