Trimmer (Trimmier) is near the head of Little Trimmer Creek six miles south of Killeen in southwestern Bell County. In 1900 the community had a one-teacher school with twenty students, but it was soon consolidated with a larger operation. In the 1960s, after the construction of Stillhouse Hollow Lake nearby, the community began to grow. The population was reported at twenty in 1968, sixty-five in the 1970s, and at ninety in 1990.
