Two Mile
Two Mile, a small farming community twelve miles east of Milano in eastern Milam County, took its name from Two Mile Creek, which was two miles from Nashville-on-the-Brazos. In 1903 the Two Mile community had two one-teacher schools-one for nineteen White students and the other for twenty Black students. The community was not labeled on county highway maps in the 1940s.
