Vesta

Vesta was twelve miles south of Hemphill in southern Sabine County. A post office was established there in 1888, and in 1890 the community had a gristmill, a gin, a hotel, and a blacksmith's shop that served an agricultural community with a population of approximately 200. The post office was closed in 1901.
