Batesville

Batesville is 3½ miles west of Clarksville in central Red River County. In 1933 the community had seven residents and one business, and in 1940 the population was fifty. In 1984 Batesville was a small community of scattered houses with no businesses. The population was fourteen in 1990 and in 2000.
