Brookshier
Hog Creek rises a mile north of Hog Mountain and two miles north of Farm Road 384 in northwestern Runnels County (at 31°56' N, 100°14' W) and runs south for twelve miles to its mouth on the Colorado River, five miles north of Brookshier (at 31°49' N, 100°14' W). Mesquite and grasses grow around the upper reaches of the stream, and water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and various grasses grow along its lower. The creek rises in land with moderately steep slopes and high local reliefs and ends in flat terrain with local shallow depressions and a clay surface.
