Jardin

Jardin is on a spur off State Highway 50 twelve miles northeast of Greenville in northeastern Hunt County. It was settled in 1880, received a post office in 1881, and by 1885 had a population of seventy-five, three churches, and a school. The post office closed in 1904. The population was fifty from 1900 until 1950, and two businesses were operating there in 1952. From 1976 to 2000 Jardin reported a population of twenty-two.
