Snow Hill
Snow Hill is on the high land between Pilot and Indian creeks near State Highway 78 ten miles northeast of McKinney in northeast Collin County. It supposedly was named by a group of surveyors who stood on the ridge when it was covered by a fresh layer of snow. Throughout its history the community has served as a church and school community for area farmers. The population of Snow Hill from 1940 through 2000 was estimated at twenty.
