Spring Creek
Spring Creek was once a farming village in south central Parker County. The first Anglo-Americans arrived in the area in the mid-1850s and settled six miles up Spring Creek from an Indian village on the Brazos River, approximately six miles south of the site of present-day Weatherford. Among these early settlers was T. J. Shaw, who served as a county commissioner. No organized community exists today. The only evidence of the pioneer settlement is the cemetery just east of Farm Road 51.
