Bluetown
Bluetown-Iglesia Antigua, located in the southwestern corner of Cameron County about a mile from the Mexican border, was classified as a census-designated place in 2000. This community consists of Bluetown and the newer colonia of Iglesia Antigua. The area consists of primarily Hispanic, lower-income families and has a population of 692. It is part of the Santa Maria Independent School District (see BLUETOWN).
