Center Point
Center Point, a farming community on Farm Road 959 fourteen miles northwest of Carthage in northwestern Panola County, was first settled after the Civil War. In the mid-1930s the community had a store, a church, and a number of houses. After World War II many of its residents moved away, but in the mid-1960s a church and a few scattered dwellings still remained in the area. In the early 1990s Center Point was a dispersed rural community. In 2000 there was no recorded population.
