New Prospect
Dry Creek rises two miles west of New Prospect in north central Rusk County (at 32°12' N, 94°45' W) and runs north for five miles to its mouth on Mill Creek, two miles east of Craig (at 32°15' N, 94°45' W). The creek traverses flat to rolling terrain surfaced by sandy and clay loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
