Pettytown
Pettytown is a small rural community located four miles south of Red Rock in southwestern Bastrop County. In 1905 the Pettytown school had forty-two students and one teacher. The school and a few scattered houses marked the community on county highway maps in the 1940s, but no population estimates for the community were available. The school was consolidated with the Red Rock district in 1949. Only the cemetery appeared on maps of the area in the 1980s.
