Ragley was a post office and timber-processing community ten miles northwest of Jefferson and four miles from Lassater in northwestern Marion County. The community had a post office from 1893 to 1898 and was probably named for the Ragley Lumber Company, which ran a similar operation in Panola County. In 1896 Ragley had a sawmill operated by Andrew Pryser, but the community had apparently disappeared by the 1930s; it was not listed on the 1936 state highway map.
