San Roman

San Román, an old Spanish community, is on Farm Road 649 five miles north of the Farm Road 2686 intersection and two miles south of the Jim Hogg county line in Starr County. In 1991 the community had six unoccupied homes on the east side of the road, but it was still marked by highway signs. In 2000 the population was five.
